Euthanasia with Aquamation Service

Available to cats, dogs <25 lbs, rabbits, ferrets, and other small exotic companion mammals

When it’s time to say goodbye, rest assured that you will be supported throughout the entire process, and be provided the best possible transition for your loved ones.

In-Home Euthanasia - $299 ($50 discount for non-cat/dog)

Includes compassionate quality of life assessment, gentle pre-euthanasia sedation, and the in-home euthanasia procedure.

After Hours Fee (weekdays after 6pm or all hours weekends, availability only at our discretion) - $150

Deposit equal to the travel fee and euthanasia fee (with after hours fee if applicable) required before scheduling of appointment

Travel fee and after hours fee are nonrefundable within 24 hours of the appointment

Euthanasia fee is always refundable, however, a $100 cancellation fee applies if a quality of life consult was provided and/or we have already drawn up the sedation/euthanasia medications during the appointment and you choose not to proceed with the euthanasia.

Aquamation (Water Cremation)

Here at Gentle Whiskers, we do not offer traditional flame cremation. Compassionate aquamation service is provided by our exclusive partner, Resting Waters/Evvi Aftercare & Aquamation. Aquamation is a more environmentally-friendly alternative to flame cremation.

There are two options for the aquamation service:

Individual Aquamation with Scattering Service (in place of communal cremation, remembrance package not included)

Less than 15 lbs - $219 (MSRP)

15 lbs and over - $299 (MSRP)

Individual Aquamation with Remains Returned (includes remembrance package of one ink paw print, one fur clipping, and one clay paw impression; ashes returned in a complimentary scatter vessel)

Less than 15 lbs - $349 (MSRP)

15 lbs and over - $429 (MSRP)

Additional wooden box and urn options available directly with Evvi Aftercare & Aquamation via their online portal

Cold storage and transportation of remains to the aquamation facility are included in both options

Pickup of ashes is free of charge from the following locations:

-Seaview Animal Hospital in Lynnwood/Edmonds

-Resting Waters’ facility in West Seattle

-Your primary care veterinary clinic (within Greater Seattle)

Shipping of ashes back directly to you via USPS is chargeable at $75

You will be provided 3 days post-euthanasia to finalize the customizable options above. Evvi Aftercare & Aquamation holds remains for at least 3 days before performing the aquamation procedure.

If choosing the Individual Aquamation with Scattering Service, you have 30 days post-euthanasia to decide if you would like for ashes to be returned to you instead and switch to the Remains Return option. Evvi Aftercare & Aquamation holds ashes for at least 30 days before performing the scattering service.
